Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (TGSIs) are installed onto public access walkways to assist in providing a safer built environment for the blind and vision impaired. TGSIs and stair nosings are now compulsory in all new and refurbished public environments. In Australia legislated codes and standards are very specific to the design, installation and posititioning of tactiles. This legislation is in place to allow a clear intrepretation of TGSIs in public areas and to ensure that the experience of the vision impaired remains consistent in all landscapes. Clearview Tactiles offers a scheduled routine inspection and preventative maintenance program for new and existing installations which can covers inspection, cleaning and replacement of worn or damaged products.
